I.$$12x^{2} - 23x+11 =0$$
II. $$21y^{2} - 20y + 4 = 0$$

Solution

Root of quadratic equation $$(ax^{2} + bx + c =0)$$ = $$\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 -4ac}}{2a}$$
For equation I : a=12 , b = -23 and c= 11
On solving the quadratic equation I we get x = (11/12) or (1)
For equation II : a=21 , b = -20 and c= 4
On solving the quadratic equation I we get y = (28/42) or (12/42)
It is clear that x>y.
Option B is correct answer.
