Solution
Volume of sphere = $$\frac{4}{3}\pi\ r^3$$
Now when r is increased by 140% we get new r = 2.4r
so volume becomes =$$\frac{4}{3}\pi\ \left(2.4r\right)^3$$
Now percentage increase =Â $$\frac{\left(\frac{4}{3}\pi\ \left(2.4r\right)^3\right)-\frac{4}{3}\pi\ r^3}{\frac{4}{3}\pi\ r^3}$$
