The volume of a right circular cone is 1232 $$cm^3$$. If the height of cone is 24 cm, then what will be the radius of its base?

Solution

Volume of right circular cone = $$\dfrac{1}{3} \pi r^2 h$$
Given, h = 24 cm and Volume = $$1232 cm^3$$
Then, $$\dfrac{1}{3} \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times r^2 \times 24 = 1232$$

=> $$r^2 = 49$$
=> r = 7 cm
Therefore, Radius of the cone = 7 cm.
