the approximate average speed of the person while travelling from city A to city F = $$\frac{total\ distance}{total\ time}$$

= $$\frac{80+120+90+60+42}{\frac{80}{16}+\frac{120}{40}+\frac{90}{20}+\frac{60}{30}+\frac{42}{12}}$$

= $$\frac{392}{5+3+4.5+2+3.5}$$

= $$\frac{392}{18}$$

= $$\frac{196}{9}$$

= 21.78 km/h (approx.)
