I.$$x^{2}-11x+30=0$$
II.$$y^{2}-15y+56=0$$

Solution

I.$$x^{2} - 11x + 30 = 0$$

=> $$x^2 - 6x - 5x + 30 = 0$$

=> $$x (x - 6) - 5 (x - 6) = 0$$

=> $$(x - 6) (x - 5) = 0$$

=> $$x = 5 , 6$$

II.$$y^{2} - 15y + 56 = 0$$

=> $$y^2 - 8y - 7y + 56 = 0$$

=> $$y (y - 8) - 7 (y - 8) = 0$$

=> $$(y - 8) (y - 7) = 0$$

=> $$y = 7 , 8$$

Therefore $$x < y$$
