Solution

Let O be the centre of the circle and BC be the chord.

AO = 8 cm

OB = 17 cm

OA is perpendicular to BC and it bisects BC into equal halves.

Using Pythagoras theorem ,

AB = 15 cm

BC = 30 cm

So , the answer would be option d)30 cm.
