Question 60

If $$A = \frac{2}{3} \div \frac{4}{9}, B = \frac{6}{11} \times \frac{33}{12}$$ and $$C = \frac{1}{3} \times \frac{9}{2}$$, then what is the value of A $$\times$$ B - C?

Solution

$$A = \frac{2}{3} \div \frac{4}{9}$$

$$A=\frac{2}{3}\times\frac{9}{4}$$

$$A=\frac{3}{2}$$

A = 1.5

$$B = \frac{6}{11} \times \frac{33}{12}$$

$$B=\frac{3}{2}$$

B = 1.5

$$C = \frac{1}{3} \times \frac{9}{2}$$

$$C=\frac{3}{2}$$

C = 1.5

value of A $$\times$$ B - C = $$1.5\times1.5-1.5$$

= 2.25-1.5

= 0.75

= $$\frac{75}{100}$$

= $$\frac{3}{4}$$
