Question 59

A series is given, with one number missing. Choose the correct alternative from the given ones that will complete the series.

1, 0.125, 1/27, 1/64, ? , 1/216

Solution

The series is of the form $$'\frac{1}{n^3}'$$

$$\frac{1}{1^3}$$ = 1

$$\frac{1}{2^3}$$ = $$\frac{1}{8}$$ = 0.125

$$\frac{1}{3^3}$$ = $$\frac{1}{27}$$

$$\frac{1}{4^3}$$ = $$\frac{1}{64}$$

$$\frac{1}{5^3}$$ = $$\frac{1}{125}$$ = 0.008

$$\frac{1}{6^3}$$ = $$\frac{1}{216}$$

=> Ans - (D)
