Two trains of same length 80 meters, running in opposite direction with same speed cross each other in 3 seconds. The speed of each train is (km/hr)

Solution

Total relative distance = 160 meters
Let the speed of each train be s m/s 

Hence, $$\frac{160}{2s}=3$$ 
Hence, s = (80/3) m/s 
s converted into kmph = $$\frac{80}{3}\cdot\frac{18}{5}=96\ kmph$$
