In these questions, two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and mark the appropriate answer. Give answer

Question 56

I. $$7x^{2} + 12x + 5 = 0$$
II. $$3y^{2} + 7y + 2 = 0$$

Solution

I : 7$$x^{2}$$ + 12x + 5 = 0

=> 7$$x^{2}$$ + 7x + 5x + 5 = 0

=> 7x ( x + 1) + 5 ( x + 1) = 0

=> (7x + 5) (x + 1) = 0

=> x = -5/7 , -1

II : 3$$y^{2}$$ + 7y + 2 = 0

=> 3$$y^{2}$$ + 6y + y + 2 = 0

=> 3y (y+2) + 1 (y + 2) = 0

=> (3y + 1) (y + 2) = 0

=> y = -1/3 , -2

Since, -1 > -2 , but -1/3 > -1

Thus, no relation established
