$$\text{Number of identical cubes} = \dfrac{\text{Volume of cuboid}}{\text{Volume of each cube}}$$
Volume of cuboid $$= 14\times12\times8 = 1344 cm^3$$
Volume of each cube $$= 2^3 = 8 cm^3$$
Therefore, Number of identical cubes $$= \dfrac{1344}{8} = 168$$
