Question 54

The diameter of a solid hemisphere is 35 cm. What is its total surface area?
(Take $$\pi = \frac{22}{7}$$)

Total surface area (TSA) of the hemisphere = $$ 3 \pi r^2 $$

(Take $$\pi = \frac{22}{7}$$)

Diameter = 35

Radius = $$ \frac{35}{2} $$

TSA = $$ 3 \times \frac{22}{7} \times \frac{35}{2} \times \frac{35}{2} $$

       = $$ \frac{3 \times 11 \times 5 \times 35}{2} $$

       = 2887.5
