Let $$x=2k$$ , $$y=3k$$ and $$z=5k$$

Sum = $$(x+y+z)=80$$

=> $$2k+3k+5k=80$$

=> $$10k=80$$

=> $$k=\frac{80}{10}=8$$

Thus, $$x=2 \times 8=16$$ and $$z=40$$

Also, $$z=ax-8$$

=> $$40=16(a)-8$$

=> $$16a=40+8=48$$

=> $$a=\frac{48}{16}=3$$

=> Ans - (C)
