In $$\triangle ABC,DE\parallel BC$$ such that $$\frac{AD}{BD}=\frac{3}{5}$$. If AC=5.6 cm, then AE is equal to

DE is parallel to BC and let AD = 3 cm and DB = 9 cm
Also, AC = 5.6 cm and let AE = $$x$$ cm
=> $$\frac{AD}{DB} = \frac{AE}{EC}$$
=> $$\frac{3}{5} = \frac{(x)}{5.6-x}$$
=> $$16.8-3x=5x$$
=> $$3x+5x=8x=16.8$$
=> $$x=\frac{16.8}{8}=2.1$$ cm
=> Ans - (D)
