Given that the average marks obtained by a student in 9 subjects is 98

i.e; (total sum of marks)/9=98

therefore, total sum =98$$\times\ $$9=882

but given that marks obtained by him was wrongly copied as 86 instead of 68

therefore correct average is [882-(86-68)]/9

i.e; (882-18)/9

864/9=96

therefore the answer is option C
