I. $$x^{2}=196$$
II. $$y^{2} +2y-48=0$$

Solution

I.$$x^{2} = 196$$

=> $$x = \sqrt{196}$$

=> $$x = 14 , -14$$ 

II.$$y^{2} + 2y - 48 = 0$$

=> $$y^2 + 8y - 6y - 48 = 0$$

=> $$y (y + 8) - 6 (y + 8) = 0$$

=> $$(y + 8) (y - 6) = 0$$

=> $$y = -8 , 6$$

$$\therefore$$ No relation can be established.
