A sector is cut from a circle of diameter 42 cm. If the angle of the sector is $$150^\circ$$ then what is its area in $$cm^2$$.
(Take $$\pi = \frac{22}{7}$$)
Area of sector = $$\frac{\theta}{360^\circ}\times\pi r^2$$
=Â $$\frac{150^\circ}{360^\circ}\times\frac{22}{7}\times(21)^2$$
= $$\frac{5}{12}\times22\times(3\times21)$$
= $$\frac{5}{2}\times11\times21=577.5$$ $$cm^2$$
