A wall of length $$(5x + 2)$$ unit and height $$6x$$ unit has a square window of side $$2x$$ unit and a door of width $$2x$$ unit and height $$3x$$ unit. Which of the following algebraic expressions gives the area of the wall to be painted?
The wall's area is $$6x(5x + 2) = 30x^2 + 12x$$. The window covers $$4x^2$$ and the door $$6x^2$$. The area to be painted is $$30x^2 + 12x - 10x^2 = 20x^2 + 12x = 4x(5x + 3)$$.
