The length and breadth of a rectangle are 21 cm and 20 cm respectively. What must be the length of its diagonal (in cm)?
Solution
Length of rectangle, $$l=21$$ cm and breadth, $$b=20$$ cm
=> Diagonal, $$d=\sqrt{l^2+b^2}$$
=> $$d=\sqrt{(21)^2+(20)^2}$$
=> $$d=\sqrt{441+400}=\sqrt{841}$$
=> $$d=29$$ cm
=> Ans -Â (D)
