Find the total surface area of a cone of slant height '2l' and radius 'r/2'.

Solution

cone = $$\pi\times r\times l  +\pi\times r^2  $$

Given

Radius = $$\frac{r}{2}$$

So Slant height=2L

cone = $$\pi\times r\times l +\pi\times r^2 $$

cone = $$\pi\times \frac{r}{2}\times 2L +\pi\times \frac{r}{2}^2 $$

$$\pi r(l + (r/4))$$
