Question 145

The measures of three angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio 1 : 2 : 3 . If the sum of these three measures of the fourth angle, find the smallest angle

Solution

Let the measures of three angles of the quadrilateral be $$x^\circ,2x^\circ$$ and $$3x^\circ$$

=> 4th angle = $$(x^\circ+2x^\circ+3x^\circ)=6x^\circ$$

Thus, sum of all angles of a quadrilateral = $$x^\circ+2x^\circ+3x^\circ+6x^\circ=360^\circ$$

=> $$12x=360^\circ$$

=> $$x=\frac{360^\circ}{12}=30^\circ$$

$$\therefore$$ Smallest angle = $$x=30^\circ$$

=> Ans - (A)
