Question 118

If $$a^{2} + a+ 1 = 0$$, then the value of $$a^{9}$$ is

Expression : $$a^{2} + a+ 1 = 0$$

Multiplying both sides by $$(a-1)$$ , we get :

=> $$(a-1)(a^2 + a + 1) = 0$$

=> $$a^3 - 1 = 0$$

=> $$a^3 = 1$$

Cubing both sides

=> $$a^9 = 1$$
