An ideal gas has molecules with 5 degrees of freedom. The ratio of specific heats at constant pressure ($$C_p$$) and at constant volume ($$C_V$$) is:
Let $$f$$ be the degrees of freedom of the gas molecules. Then,
$$\frac{C_P}{C_V}=1+\frac{2}{f}$$
$$\therefore\ \frac{C_P}{C_V}=1+\frac{2}{5}=\frac{7}{5}$$
