Hi Tara, To be honest, preparing for CAT in 50 days is like racing against time and a lot depends on where you stand now.
Since the time available is very short, avoid studying from books. Watch a few videos to refresh the concepts and have a go at solving the questions. Do not spend time too much time on learning from basics. Though learning from basics is usually better, it is not something that can be done with 50 days to CAT.
1. Give a CAT mock test immediately to know where you stand without preparation.
2. Do a SWOT analysis after the mock and classify the topics accordingly. Now you will have a clear idea about your strengths and weaknesses.
3. Draft a 50 days study plan for CAT having your strengths and weaknesses in mind. Allocate preparation time to various sections accordingly. (You can also download this study plan PDF and follow it: https://cracku.in/cat-crash-course#schedule )
4. Check whether you are comfortable with dealing questions that involve multiple concepts. Questions in CAT usually are not topic specific and require the application of more than one idea. Hence, make sure that you are comfortable in dealing with such questions.
5. If you find yourself lacking in basics, try to complete your basics in the next 10 – 20 days. Devote the last month entirely for taking mock tests and making some tweaks to your strategy.
