The JEE Main exam will be an assessment of two parts in 2026, administered by the National Testing Agency and will be conducted in January and April. JEE Main 2026 has the following syllabus which is mainly the content of NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 but JEE advanced is on the advanced level of learning and understanding of the same subjects. JEE Mains vs JEE Advanced: Cutoff and JoSAA Counselling
JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) utilises both exams in the counselling process. IITs are only admissions made on the basis of the rank received in JEE Advanced, meanwhile the admissions in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs are done on the basis of the JEE Main CRL (Common Rank List).
