let the max. aggregate marks be x,
more marks required to pass for the student =a= 1034-940=94,
now, a is the 5% of the total marks,
so, 94=5% of x
hence, x = 1880

1034-940=94
5%* X= 94
X= 94*100/5 = 1880 Ans
