Hi Panini,
What is your work-ex?
Your decision whether or not to write CAT again should come after converting the college.
Cracking the PI-WAT rounds requires as much preparation as it is required to prepare for CAT
Even if you do not join the college, this exposure to interview will help you perform much better for next year.
So, make a full-fledged preparation towards it. Decision must come later.
As about re-attempting, CAT is definitely unpredictable.
Many able candidates have slipped from 99 to 92s. The pressure on the day of the exam, errors like picking a wrong set in LRDI, can jeopardise your scores.
Hence, make a well informed decision
Good luck:)

Depends on what stage you're in. I have seen people drop and then get into FMS,XL,ABC which are undoubtedly better. Having said that, decision can only be taken by you and nobody else.
Better to introspect, because only you can know what position you are in life, how much work ex you have, how your family background is. Take a decision taking all that into account.
