I am scoring 40+ in Quants sections but I am unable to even cross 30 marks in full-length mocks. Any suggestions or insight for the same?

Hi
The reason we perform better in sectional tests than in mocks or we are not able to replicate our performance of sectionals in full length mocks especially in LRDI and QA because we often carry stress or sometimes a baggage of under performance in the previous section and we are not able to perform well in mocks or upto our expectations.
CAT is an exam where each section has its equal weightage and importance and one should not let performance of one particular section affect his or her performance in other sections. I would advice you when you take a mock after every section take a 30 seconds break and then start the section and forget whatever the performance of previous section has been . If it was good then also start afresh and even if it is bad then also let it go and start afresh .
Also analyze your mocks very well , sometimes in sectionals one particular topic is stressed more just to make you comfortable with the topic and in mocks all topics are covered or carry equal weightage so analyze your mocks and if you find any topic where you are making more mistakes then give topic tests more of that particular topic.

I have given one sectional test(s) in CRACKU so far, but it felt as if it was significantly easier than full length mocks. Not a hangover issue, rather the paper being very easy. Is there any truth to it or is it just a placebo effect?
