PGPM 1 Year Eligibility Criteria
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution is required.
GMAT/CAT/CMAT/XAT/NMAT valid test scores are accepted for admission. Aspirants can submit scores from multiple attempts, but only the best score will be considered for admission. For PGPM 2024 Intake, Great Lakes accepts GMAT scores taken after January 1, 2021, CAT scores from 2022/2023, XAT scores from 2023/2024, NMAT scores from 2022 onwards, CMAT scores from 2023; CMAT 2024 Scores are accepted if declared before the final admission deadline.
Candidates with 2 to 10 years of work experience are considered for admission. However, exceptional students with 21+ months of experience by April 30th, 2024, may also be considered.
Candidates with 2-3 years of work experience by April 30th, 2024, are encouraged to apply for the One Year Flagship PGPM program. They are also eligible to apply for the Two-year PGDM program.
PGDM 2 Year Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution with minimum 60% score across 10th/12th/Under graduation is required.
Applicants must appear for GMAT/CAT/CMAT/XAT before applying to Great Lakes Institute of Management. For PGDM 2024 Intake, Great Lakes accepts: GMAT scores taken after January 1, 2021, CAT scores from 2022/2023, XAT scores from 2023/2024, CMAT scores from 2023, CMAT 2024 Scores are accepted if declared before the final admission deadline.
Freshers or candidates with less than 36 months of work experience by June 30th, 2024, are eligible to apply.

Application Guidelines
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply to Great Lakes Institute of Management by filling out an online form on the official website and paying a fee of INR 2,000.
Applicants have the choice of applying to either the Great Lakes, Chennai campus or the Great Lakes, Gurgaon campus individually, or they can apply to both campuses using the common application form by selecting the appropriate option in the registration form.
Candidates must provide the official email address of their recommender. The recommendation letter will be obtained from the recommenders of the final selected students and must be submitted online.

Great Lakes holds early interviews for PGPM Admission Process where applicants can appear for the interview process before the official announcement of the exam (GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT) results. This early interview process allows students with strong track records to apply early and receive their results sooner. They are interviewed based on the strength of their profiles. These early interview candidates are considered for the final offer after they submit their scores once declared. The final offer made also considers candidate’s interview performance, essays, diversity, and merit among the interviewed applicants.

Admission Process
The admission process at Great Lakes begins with candidates filling out an online application form, providing details such as valid test scores, academic history, work experience, awards, and recognitions etc. Additionally, candidates are required to write an essay for the PGPM admission process, addressing aspects like their identity, motivations, career aspirations, and fit within the Great Lakes community.
Following the initial application screening, eligible candidates are invited for an Academic Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) session. Upon qualification for AWT and PI, candidates are notified by the institute regarding the dates of their sessions. The AWT session will be conducted online and will require candidates to complete a writing ability test on one of the two topics provided. Subsequently, candidates will have to attend the personal interview at the designated location on the scheduled date.
Final shortlisting for admission into Great Lakes' PGPM and PGDM programs is based on the evaluation of GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT scores, past academic performance, essays, work experience, diversity and performance in the personal interview.
Shortlisted candidates are then contacted by the college to offer them admission to the PGPM and PGDM programs across both campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon.

Diversity & Merit Scholarships: Great Lakes is offering diversity and merit scholarships to one-year PGPM students to promote diverse perspectives and excellence. There will be a total of 40 scholarships worth Rs.5 lakhs each for the Class of 2023-24, with a minimum of 30% reserved for female students. Candidates will be chosen based on their application, essays, and interview assessment, and no separate application is required.
The Dr. Bala V Balachandran Merit Scholarship: This scholarship aims to recognize candidates with outstanding potential and a proven track record.
