Number of ways in which he can send invitations to three women = $$^5C_3$$ = 10 ways

For each man, he can either send the invitation or not. Number of ways of inviting men = $$2^5$$ = 32 ways

So, total number of ways in which the invitations can be sent = 10 * 32 = 320
