Question 80

The height of a cone is 7 cm and diameter of its base is 14 cm. What is the volume of the cone?

Height of cone, $$h = 7$$ cm

Radius, $$r = \frac{14}{2} = 7$$ cm

Volume of cone = $$\frac{1}{3} \pi r^2 h$$

= $$\frac{1}{3} \times \frac{22}{7} \times (7)^2 \times 7$$

= $$\frac{1}{3} \times 22 \times 49 = \frac{1078}{3}$$

= $$359.3 cm^3$$
