Karishma paid $$15\%$$ of her monthly salary towards an EMI. From the remaining salary she paid $$10\%$$ as internet bill and $$20\%$$ as rent of the house. If after the mentioned expenses she was left with Rs. 35,105, then what was Karishma's monthly salary?
After the EMI she has $$85\%$$ of her salary, and after paying $$10\% + 20\% = 30\%$$ of that she keeps $$70\%$$ of it. So the amount left is $$0.85 \times 0.70 \times S = 0.595S = 35105$$. Hence $$S = \frac{35105}{0.595} = 59000$$ rupees.
