Question 75

If $$\sqrt{7} = 2.6457  and  \sqrt{3} = 1.732$$, then find the value of $$\frac{1}{\sqrt{7} - \sqrt{3}}$$

Solution

$$\frac{1}{\sqrt{7}-\sqrt{3}}=\frac{\sqrt{7}+\sqrt{3}}{7-3}=\frac{1}{4}\left(\sqrt{7}+\sqrt{3}\right)=\frac{1}{4}\left(2.6457+1.732\right)=1.0944.$$

C is correct choice.
