Total amount of ore in a year = 100x
Wasted ore = 20% off 100x = 20x
Remaining ore = 100x - 20x = 80x
Amount of pure iron = 25% of 80x = 80000
20x = 80000
x = 4000
Qquantity of hematite mined in the year = 100x = 400000 kg
