Solution
We have :
Now h^2 +x^2 =625
and h^2 +(17-x)^2 =676
subtracting the equations we get
34x=289+625-676
we get 34x =238
we get x=7
Therefore
we get h =24
Therefore area = 1/2 (137)(24)
= 1644
