Sita’s bucket has thrice the capacity as Ramu’s bucket . It takes 60 turns for Sita’s bucket to fill the empty drum. How many turnsit will take for both the buckets of Sita’s and Ramu’s, having each turn together to fill the empty drum?
Solution
Let Ramu's bucket capacity be x
Then Sita's bucket capacity will be 3x
Empty drum capacity = $$60\times\ 3x\ =\ 180x$$
Both bucket capacity = 3x+x = 4x
Required turn = $$\frac{180x}{4x}=45$$.
