Question 64

Let a = 111....1 (where the number of 1's is m) be an integer and b = 100....05 (where the number 0's is m - 1), then $$\sqrt{ab + 1} =$$

The best way to proceed with this question is to assume m as a very small integer. For this question, let us say that m=2

Hence, a = 11 and b = 105

Hence,  $$\sqrt{ab + 1}$$ is $$\sqrt{1156}$$, which is 34.

Clearly, the number of 3s is m-1, aa m-1 = 1.

This is clearly in line with option A.
