In a nuclear reactor $$94\text{ g}$$ of uranium ($$\text{U}^{235}$$) undergoes fission every 160 minutes. Number of reactions occurring every minute is (Avogadro number is $$6 \times 10^{23}$$ per mole)
$$94\text{ g}$$ of $$\text{U}^{235}$$ is $$\frac{94}{235} = 0.4$$ mol, i.e. $$0.4 \times 6 \times 10^{23} = 2.4 \times 10^{23}$$ nuclei. Per minute, $$\frac{2.4 \times 10^{23}}{160} = 1.5 \times 10^{21}$$ fissions.
