What is the time taken for a 300 metre long train speeding at 60 kmph to cross a pole ?

Solution

Length of the train = 300 metres.

Speed = 60 kmph = 60 * 5/18 m/s

Time taken = length / speed = 300*18/60*5 = 18 seconds
