$$ (1 - sin^{2}\theta)(tan^{2}\theta + 1) - 1 $$
solving
$$ (cos^{2}\theta)(sec^{2}\theta) - 1 $$
$$ cos^{2}\theta \times \frac{1}{cos^{2}\theta} - 1 = 1 - 1 = 0 $$
