If 1Δ-5 = 5, 4Δ7 = -28 and -1Δ-3 = -3, then find the value of 8Δ-8 = ?

Solution

Given : 1Δ-5 = 5, 4Δ7 = -28 and -1Δ-3 = -3

If we replace 'Δ' with 'x' and also multiply the final result with '-1', then we will get the desired result.

Eg :- $$-1(1\times-5)=5$$

and $$-1(4\times7)=-28$$ and $$-1(-1\times-3)=-3$$

Similarly, $$-1(8\times-8)=64$$
