Area of a triangle with side lengths $$17\,\text{cm}$$, $$25\,\text{cm}$$, $$26\,\text{cm}$$ respectively, is ______ $$\text{cm}^2$$.
Correct Answer: 204
The semi-perimeter is $$s = \frac{17 + 25 + 26}{2} = 34$$, so $$s - a = 17$$, $$s - b = 9$$ and $$s - c = 8$$. By Heron's formula the area is $$\sqrt{34 \times 17 \times 9 \times 8} = \sqrt{41616} = 204$$.
