In each of these questions, two equations (I) and (II) are given. You have to solve both the equations and Give answer :

Question 3

I. $$x-\sqrt{169}=0$$
II. $$y^{2}-169=0$$

Solution

I : $$x - \sqrt{169} = 0$$

=> $$x = \sqrt{169}$$

=> $$x = 13, -13$$

II : $$y^{2} - 169 = 0$$

=> $$y^{2} = 169$$

=> $$y = 13,$$

Since, 13 > -13 & 13 = 13

$$\therefore y \geq x$$
