Find the value of current $$i$$ in the given circuit
The current enters the circuit from the left side. With the given battery polarity, both diodes are reverse biased, so no current flows through the branches containing the diodes.
The only conducting path through the diamond is through the $$10\,\Omega$$ resistor, the central $$5\,\Omega$$ resistor and the $$10\,\Omega$$ resistor.
Therefore, the resistance of the diamond part is
$$R_{\text{diamond}}=10+5+10=25\,\Omega$$
Including the external $$5\,\Omega$$ resistor, the total resistance is
$$R_{\text{total}}=25+5=30\,\Omega$$
Hence, the current in the circuit is
$$i=\frac{V}{R_{\text{total}}}=\frac{9}{30}=0.3\,\text{A}$$
Therefore, $${i=0.3\,\text{A}}$$
Hence, the correct option is A.
