If in a frequently distribution, the mean and median are $$21$$ and $$22$$ respectively, then its mode is approximately
For a moderately skewed, unimodal frequency distribution, Karl Pearson’s empirical relation between mean, median and mode is used:
$$\text{Mode} \approx 3(\text{Median}) - 2(\text{Mean})$$
Given values:
Mean $$= 21$$, Median $$= 22$$
Substituting in the formula:
$$\text{Mode} \approx 3 \times 22 \;-\; 2 \times 21$$
$$\text{Mode} \approx 66 \;-\; 42 = 24$$
Therefore, the mode of the distribution is approximately $$24.0$$.
Option D which is: $$24.0$$
