Question 136

In 2011, company A invested ₹830 crore. Whereas C invested an amount which bears a ratio of 3 : 2 with that of A. The revenue generated by C in 2011 is ...........

Solution

In 2011, Company A invested ₹830 crore.

Whereas C invested an amount that bears a ratio of 3 2 with that of A.

Investment done by C = 830*3/2 = 830*1.5 = ₹1245 crore.

The revenue generated by C in 2011 is ...........?

We know Revenue =  Investment + Profit

Profit made by C in 2011 = 32% of Revenue

Hence, Profit made by C in 2011 = 1245*0.32 = ₹398.4 crore.

Therefore, the revenue generated by C in 2011 = 1245+398.4 = ₹1643.4 crore
