A ladder leaning against a wall makes an angle of 60° with the horizontal. If the foot of the ladder is 10 m away from the wall. what is the length of the ladder?

Given,

$$\angle\ ACB=\ 60^{\circ\ }$$

BC= 10 cm

We know that, $$\cos\ \theta\ =\frac{Base}{Hypotenuse}$$

$$\cos\ \theta\ =\frac{BC}{AC}$$

$$\cos\ 60^{\circ\ }=\ \frac{10}{AC}$$

$$\frac{1}{2}\ =\ \frac{10}{AC}$$

$$AC=20m$$
