distance of the object from the lens is 30 cm, whatis the distance of the image formed?

Solution

f = 10cm

u = -30 cm

lens formula:

1/v - 1/u = 1/f

1/v = 1/f + 1/u

1/v = 1/10 - 1/30

1/v = 3-1/30

1/v = 2/30

1/v = 1/15

v = +15 cm
