Question 117

Equation of perpendicular bisector of the line segment joining (13, —2) and (-5, 10) is

The general line through two points (a,b)(a,b) and (c,d)(c,d) is

(c − a) (y−b) = (d −b) (x − a)

In our case, that is

(-5 - 13)(y + 3) = 12 (x − 13) =   -18(y +2 ) = 12 (x−13)

which we can write

12x + 18y = -120

2x + 18y = -20  Answer
