A right triangle with sides 9 cm, 12 cm and 15 cm is rotated about the side of 9 cm to form a cone. The volume of the cone so formed is:

Clearly, we have radius $$r=9$$ cm and height $$h=12 cm$$
Volume of cone = $$\frac{1}{3}\pi r^2 h$$
= $$\frac{1}{3}\pi \times(9)^2\times12$$
= $$81\times4\times\pi=324\pi$$ $$cm^3$$
=> Ans - (A)
